Shami Kebabs

Delicious Shami Kebabs Recipe


  1. Minced beef ½ kg
  2. Gram lentils 250 grams
  3. Eggs 4
  4. Green chillies (chopped) 6
  5. Onion (chopped) 1
  6. Coriander leaves (chopped) ¼ bunch
  7. Ginger/garlic paste 2 tsp
  8. Whole cumin seeds 2 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  10. Black cardamom 1
  11. Cinnamon 1
  12. Whole red chillies 5
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil for frying


  • Cook mince, gram lentils, cinnamon, black cardamom, cumin seeds and whole red chillies with 4 glasses of water till all the water dries up.
  • Blend or ground on grinding stone the prepared mice.
  • Mix ground mince, coriander leaves, red chillies powder, ginger/garlic, onion, green chillies and salt with hands.
  • Make round kebabs from this mixture and place them on a plate.
  • Beat eggs and heat oil in a pan.
  • Coat kebabs with eggs and fry them till they turn golden from both sides.
  • Serve delicious shami kebabs with various chutneys.
