Turnip Kebabs

Delicious Turnip Kebabs Recipe


  1. 1/2 kg turnips.
  2. 1 cup gram lentils.
  3. 6 cloves garlic.
  4. 1 medium piece ginger.
  5. 3 slices of bread breaked into pieces.
  6. 2 tbsp corn flour.
  7. 2 egg whites.
  8. 8 whole red chillies.
  9. 6 peppercorns.
  10. 3 black cardamoms.
  11. 1/2 tbsp coriander leaves.
  12. 1 tsp white cumin seeds.
  13. 1 tsp black cumin seeds.
  14. ┬╝ bunch chopped coriander seeds.
  15. 6 chopped green chillies.
  16. Salt to taste.
  17. Oil for frying.


  1. Peel turnips and boil them. Throw the water when turnips are boiled and mash them. Put the mashed turnips in a sieve press them to drain out the water.
  2. Put gram lentils, coriander seeds, black cardamoms, white cumin seeds, garlic ginger, pepper corns, red chillies, black cumin seeds send salt in a pot and boil them in 2 cups water.
  3. When lentils become tender, mash them and add them to the turnips. #
  4. Add coriander leaves, green chillies, bread and corn flour.
  5. Make kebabs and dip them in egg whites.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry kebabs till they turn golden from both sides. Take them out in a serving dish and serve.
